The book “UKRAINE INCOGNITA” was presented in Lutsk

The book “Ukraine Incognita” is being reissued for the ninth time in Lutsk, on the campus of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.

Yulia Vusenko, a Volyn Regional Council deputy and member of the National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS”, reported this.

According to Larisa Ivshina, the editor-in-chief of “Day” newspaper, the first edition of this book was published 20 years ago.

“The central idea of this work is that Ukrainians should think about the future, which requires continuous re-education of our nation, as well as a reliable historical lotion. There are numerous reasons to believe that “Ukraine Incognita” is exactly that. The fact that the book is already twenty years old and is still in high demand demonstrates that it deserves special treatment. This book was the “grandmother” of the book series “Library of the newspaper “Day,” as well as its first “swallow”, – she explained.

Readers of “Ukraine Incognita” will be convinced that history is not a static object, but rather a strategic priority. “History prepares the future from the customer’s material,” – writes the editor-in-chief of “Day” newspaper.

“Ukraine Incognita”, the first book in the library, is 20 years old. It is time to assess history’s lessons and how we learned… Perhaps it should be obvious by now: it is a matter of national security to re-educate the people about history. It was also possible to carry out a successful humanitarian expansion during this time. Putin “feeds” on our transgressions. By the way, it’s telling that after stealing Crimea, he immediately changed the school history textbooks… And a new generation of neighbors is growing up, with a perverted “map of the world” fixed in their minds – one that does not include our country. This is not a prank. This is a battle for historical significance,” – Larisa Ivshina is reminded.

The anniversary reprint includes an afterword written by the editor-in-chief in the summer of 2022, after the important battles of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The regional tour is carried out with the assistance of the Charity Fund for the Support of the Initiatives of the newspaper “Den” and within the framework of the “Community Advocates” project, which is implemented by the NGO “ANTS” with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy.

It is important to notice that the next presentation will take place on September 16 at 12:00 in the University’s Hall of Mirrors at Ivan Franko Lviv National University.
