Armenia opposes CSTO exercises? This is an externally controlled Belarus signal – Yuliya Vusenko

Armenia’s refusal to participate in Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) military exercises in 2023 is a sign of an externally controlled Belarus.

On Channel 5, Yuliya Vusenko, a member of the National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS”, emphasized this.

“Armenia’s statement is a positive sign for us and the enslaved peoples trapped in the russian federation. Furthermore, it is an addition to the same Belarus. Because, as we can see, it is now entirely controlled from the outside, explains Yuliya Vusenko. As a result of such statements, many former Russian allies who see threats from the Russian Federation will view the situation differently as of today. As a result, this sends a clear signal that Ukraine’s victory in this war represents not only the restoration of territorial integrity and the implementation of reforms in the middle, but also the new geopolitical order of the world, which will influence what format of russia we will get after the victory in the future. Our country will achieve complete victory, albeit at a high cost. And I hope that in the future, we will have a different type of neighbor who understands that it is not possible to forcefully dictate to the world how and with whom to live…”

According to an ANTS participant, the visit of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock to Kharkiv is a positive sign for Ukraine.

“I think that this visit shows the readiness of the EU and our partners to assess the reality of the situation in Ukraine and proceed to the transfer of weapons, which we lack for a long period of time. To be honest, we’ve declared several times and asked our partners to speak the same language as us and understand what’s going on. As a result, such visits enable the true picture to be revealed: why millions of people are currently being evacuated, what the Ukrainian army’s problem is, and what weapons it lacks. We talked for a long time about the importance of providing us with things like Leopard tanks. Indeed, such visits demonstrate our partners’ steadfastness and readiness to provide Ukraine with the weapons it requires to reduce losses and bring victory closer. And I hope that this event has positive consequences – that it brings victory closer”.

Another positive signal, according to the expert, is the signing of a new declaration on cooperation between NATO and the EU, which strengthens the alliance’s strategic partnership with the European Union.

“These are really important documents that declare once again that the EU and NATO will not stop until there is peace in Ukraine and until the weapons of the russian federation are withdrawn. Furthermore, sanctions, such as those imposed on Belarus, should be strengthened. I believe that the entire world should understand that Belarus has been involved in this war since its inception. After all, shelling of Ukrainian territories from Belarus is a given. As a result, the sanctions announced by EU representatives are yet another sign of readiness and comprehension of what the entire world is aware of: russia stands behind Belarus. This country is fighting alongside russia in the war. The same is true for Iran. And we are aware of the numerous threats associated with the supply of their weapons. As a result, sanctions should be tightened. I hope to see a similar attitude toward Iran and Belarus in the future. These countries are at war and are threatening the existing world order. As a result, in order to isolate them, we must discuss supporting the appropriate tools”.
