ANTS launches a selection of young people to counter tobacco lobbying

The ANTS Network has announced applications for the Tobacco-Free Generation Ukraine project, aimed at young people who want to influence public policy and drive change in the field of public health. Participants are invited to join the programme and submit their applications now. The initiative brings together young people who are eager to work with real cases, develop leadership and analytical skills, and shape decisions at the national level.

“For us, youth is a strategic priority and a key investment in the country’s future. We have been working systematically with young people for a long time — through projects in the areas of Euro-Atlantic integration, security, and democracy. Today we are opening a new chapter of this work, focused on public health. A healthy, informed, and responsible youth is a solid foundation for a strong state. We want young people not only to gain knowledge but also to become active agents of change, to influence policy, and to shape Ukraine’s future,” said Daria Panova, Head of the ANTS Youth Club.

The project is implemented in a learning-by-doing format, which allows participants to acquire theoretical knowledge and immediately apply it in real-world settings. Within the programme, they will gain a thorough grounding in advocacy and public health, work with real policy cases, take part in developing and implementing an advocacy campaign, and have the opportunity to influence the shaping of parliamentary decisions.

A particular emphasis is placed on building a community of young people who promote effective international approaches to public health and view it as a component of Ukraine’s national security.

Application deadline: 16 April 2026, 23:59
