The National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS” developed the training course “Ukraine on the Way to the EU”. It was created for people who plan to improve their knowledge in the field of European integration and want to know how to advocate for Ukraine’s interests on international platforms.
We live in difficult but historic times that are turning points for our country. There is an ongoing war for our freedom and for democratic European values, and we are at the forefront of these epochal events. At the cost of irreparable losses, human lives, and significant destruction, we still fight for our right to exist and protect our partners from the hostile actions of the russian federation on their territory.
We have always been, are, and will be members of the European family. That is why Ukrainians did not allow a deviation from the European course of development in 2013–2014 and continue to defend this choice.
Integration into the EU is a complex process, metaphorically similar to the docking of spaceships in zero gravity, that affects various spheres of life. Our task is to understand, at least in general, the context of this large-scale union: the specifics of the political landscape, security, innovation, social, market, and “green” components, in order to find a worthy place and role in this process.
The process of European integration and EU accession negotiations will require thousands of professionals who will be looking for the best ways and compromises for Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
It is extremely important that we are ready to be included in the process as active and effective co-creators of the new European Union and the new Ukraine, that we understand the preconditions and rules of the game, that we perceive the challenges to be overcome as tasks, not problems.
There is no doubt that changes await both our Motherland and the European Union. Ukraine is not a beggar but an equal partner that will not only gain a lot from integration into the family of European countries but will also provide a huge, powerful, and fresh impetus to the European Union.
The course “Ukraine on the way to the EU” is taught by the stars of politics, diplomacy, and public science: Andrius Kubilius, Rasa Juknevičienė, Dmytro Shymkiv, Olga Trofimtseva, Hennadiy Maksak, Marianna Onufrik, Nataliia Kussul, Andrii Shelestov, Hanna Yailymova. We are proud and glad to have involved these experts. This makes the course extremely lively, dynamic, engaging, and easy to understand.

The online course “Ukraine on the way to the EU” is part of the large-scale goal of the NGO The National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS”: to improve the quality of human and managerial capital in Ukraine and to promote the successful integration of Ukraine into the EU and NATO. The course was created on the basis of live lectures by prominent European and Ukrainian figures in various fields within the framework of intellectual meetings of ANTS European Studies. This became possible thanks to the implementation of the project “Key principles of the effective path of Ukraine to the EU: monitoring, cooperation, and education” with the support of the MATRA program, financed by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
