Round-table discussion “Culture and Strategic Communications”

Ukraine’s cultural community is actively discussing the “Cultural Ramstein” and other cultural initiatives outlined in the President’s Victory Plan.

“We need cultural diplomacy, active promotion of our Ukrainian narratives through cultural art projects abroad. We need to build long-term professional ties,” the head of state emphasizes.

Key questions for discussion:

  • Who develops and implements Ukrainian cultural narratives, when and how?
  • What is behind the new name of the MCSC?
  • What should strategic communications in the field of culture look like?
  • Who should develop and implement them? Should they be aimed only at external audiences or should they also extend to internal audiences?

  • Olha Sahaidak, Head of the Board of the Coalition of Cultural Actors, key expert in the cultural heritage sector of the RES-POL project;
  • Olha Melnyk, Head of the Museum Department at Mystetskyi Arsenal;
  • Natalia Ligacheva, editor-in-chief of Detector Media;
  • Volodymyr Sheiko, Director of the Ukrainian Institute;
  • Anton Drobovych, Head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory;
  • Lyusyena Shum, Executive Director of the Library Country Charitable Foundation;
  • Kateryna Chuieva, independent researcher, expert on museums and cultural heritage management at the Cultural Heritage Protection Network project;
