Nato’s Current Political Agenda

Joseph Dobbs, Head of the Political Division of the NATO Representation to Ukraine, will share with participants of the “Youth Without Borders: Together in NATO” project key insights into the Alliance’s current political agenda, including:

  • the three main priorities of NATO, as outlined by Secretary General Mark Rutte;

  • key areas of cooperation between NATO and Ukraine aimed at enhancing interoperability and alignment with NATO standards;

  • the political dimensions of NATO membership — emphasizing the importance of civilian control over the armed forces, transparency in defense procurement, anti-corruption efforts, and respect for the rule of law as essential pillars of an effective security system.

This project is implemented with the support of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
