The team of the National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS” is working hard in various areas. We are actively communicating our activities on various platforms, including social media.   1. Ukraine should become the 33rd member of NATO

Today, together with Sweden, NATO will consist of 32 members. Our country should become the next member of the Alliance! At the NATO summit in Vilnius, Ukraine is waiting for an official invitation to join the Alliance. There can be no alternative security guarantees.

“Unfortunately, the Alliance does not have the political will to invite Ukraine during the Vilnius summit and provide a formal invitation to membership and actually send a clear geopolitical signal that NATO is bringing Ukraine’s historic victory closer with this invitation. Whether Ukraine will become the 33rd member of the alliance depends mainly on Washington,” Hanna Hopko, chairman of the board of the National Interests Advocacy Network “ANTS”, told Espresso.

2. How Ukrainian youth are calling on NATO to invite Ukraine to join the Alliance at the Vilnius summit

The Third Youth Model of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has ended. The project was successful, attracting talented students from more than 40 Ukrainian universities.

The Third Youth Model of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has shown that Ukrainian youth is ready to embody the values of the Alliance and prove that Ukraine is an integral part of it!  It is important for ANTS that Ukraine, which is moving towards NATO, has people who are ready to take responsibility.

3. The ANTS team’s latest report from the Kherson region, the epicenter of the biggest disaster russia has inflicted on Ukraine

In the video, we discuss the evacuation of people and animals, whether it is possible to reach the left bank, why people do not want to leave, and whether there are enough supplies at stabilization points.

Operations to save people and animals from the floods continue in the Kherson region. Volunteers, just concerned Kherson residents who find inflatable boats somewhere, drive through the streets and check yards and houses, looking for the people who stayed behind, the elderly and people with limited mobility, as well as pets.

4. Within the framework of the ANTS European Studies, young people met with leading Ukrainian researchers in the environment and agriculture

This week, the ANTS European Studies program held another meeting. This time, the young people talked to leading Ukrainian researchers in the fields of the environment and agriculture.

Nataliia Kussul, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis at the Scientific and Educational Institute of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, expert of the OSCE, the World Bank, the European Commission’s Joint Research Center, scientific project manager of the HORIZON 2020 and HORIZON Europe programs, representative of Ukraine in the EuroGEO high-level working group.

Andrii Shelestov, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis of the Scientific and Educational Institute of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, expert of the OSCE, UNDP, World Bank, Joint Research Center of the European Commission, participant of the HORIZON 2020 and HORIZON Europe programs.
